World Series Poker Europe 2007 Results

The first world series of poker * tournament in Europe has come to an end with an amazing winner in all categories. Annette Obrestad, an 18-year old Norwegian, battled through a start field of 362 poker players from all over the world before she finally came out as a winner. The class of the field was very high since this was the first WSOPE tournament hence the prestige to win this first World Series of Poker Europe bracelet.

Annette Obrestad was 15-years old when she started to play poker but this was her first WSOP * event since to play in this event in Las Vegas one have to be 21 years old but in Europe 18 is the required age. Annette is a well known online poker player and has already earned almost $1,000,000 by playing online poker before this win. Annette’s poker nickname is Annette_15.

EPT Barcelona 2007 Results

The first event of the European poker tour, season four, has been completed. The EPT contains ten events which is played at different location starting off in Barcelona. The start field had 543 players coming from all over the world and the winner, Sander Lylloff from Copenhagen Denmark, managed to take down this first event and €1,170,700. As a comparison, the winner of EPT Barcelona 2004, Alex Stevic received €80,000 for the first place.

EPT is one of the fastest growing tournament events and today the winner will be a euro millionaire. Might we see the EPT become as big as WSOP perhaps in the near future?
